English Definition
A loan repayment structure in which each periodic payment is of equal amount, consisting of a declining interest component and an increasing principal component over the life of the loan. This structure, also known as a mortgage-style amortisation, provides payment predictability for borrowers. It is widely used in consumer lending, mortgage finance, and certain project finance facilities.
