Borç veren, mal veya paranın iadesini veya geri ödemesini alma beklentisiyle başka bir tarafa (borçlu) mal veya para ödüncü sağlayan taraftır. Hukuki terminolojide borç veren, kredi sözleşmesinin koşulları altında zilyetliği veya mülkiyeti geçici olarak borçluya devreden mülk veya fon sahibidir. Terim özellikle kıta Avrupası hukuk sistemlerinde hem karşılıksız hem de faiz taşıyan kredi düzenemelerinde kredi veren tarafı tanımlamak için kullanılır.
English Definition
A loanor is the party that provides a loan of goods or money to another party (the borrower or loanee), with the expectation of receiving the return of the goods or repayment of the money. In legal terminology, the loanor is the owner or holder of the property or funds who temporarily transfers possession or ownership to the borrower under the terms of the loan agreement. The term is used primarily in civil law jurisdictions to describe the lending party in both gratuitous and interest-bearing loan arrangements.
