Uzun kupon, bir tahvil veya değişken faizli senedin standart kupon aralığından daha uzun olan faiz ödeme dönemini ifade eder. Genellikle tahvilin uzlaşma tarihinin düzenli kupon döngüsüyle örtüşmediği durumlarda ilk kupon ödemesinde ortaya çıkarak uzatılmış bir tahakkuk dönemiyle sonuçlanır. Uzun kupon tahvil sahibini normalden uzun dönem boyunca tahakkuk eden faiz için tazmin eder. Proje finansmanı tahvil ihracında finansal kapanış zamanlamasının tahvilin düzenli ödeme takvimine göre konumundan dolayı uzun ilk kuponlar yaygındır.
English Definition
A long coupon refers to an interest payment period that is longer than the standard coupon interval for a bond or floating-rate note. It typically occurs with the first coupon payment when the settlement date of the bond does not coincide with the regular coupon cycle, resulting in an extended accrual period. The long coupon compensates the bondholder for interest accrued over the longer-than-normal period. In project finance bond issuances, long first coupons are common due to the timing of financial close relative to the bond's regular payment schedule.
