Bir kişi ya da kurumla resmi yazışmanın gönderileceği, kayıtlı adresten farklı olabilen posta adresidir. Görünüşte teknik bir ayrıntı olsa da, kredi ve teminat sözleşmelerinin bildirim (notice) hükümlerinde belirleyici işlev taşır: temerrüt ihbarının, çekiş talebinin ya da hızlandırma bildiriminin geçerli biçimde yapılıp yapılmadığı çoğu zaman bu adrese doğru tebligatın ispatına bağlanır. Sınır ötesi işlemlerde tebligat adresinin ve yetkili temsilcinin (process agent) doğru tanımlanmaması, ihtilaf hâlinde usule ilişkin bir savunma zemini yaratabilir.
English Definition
The postal address to which formal correspondence is sent, which may differ from the registered address. Though it appears a technical detail, it carries decisive weight in the notice provisions of loan and security agreements: whether a default notice, a drawdown request or an acceleration notice has been validly served often turns on proof of proper delivery to this address. In cross-border transactions, failure to specify the notice address and the process agent correctly can create a procedural line of defense in the event of a dispute.
