English Definition
A notation indicating that an item has failed to meet acceptance criteria on inspection or quality control. In capital-intensive projects this mark produces contractual consequences, because equipment flagged 'not good' at factory acceptance testing or pre-shipment inspection can directly delay the delivery schedule, the start of the warranty period and the release of milestone payment; EPC contracts therefore specify in advance whose inspection protocol governs such a finding and how the objection mechanism operates.
