Belirtilen bir faiz oranı taşımayan, borç verenin getirisinin senedin nominal değeri ile iskontolu satın alma fiyatı arasındaki farka gömülü olduğu emre muharrer senettir. Faizsiz senetler nominal değerin altında iskontolu olarak ihraç edilir ve vadede nominal değerinden itfa edilir. Zımni faiz oranı bu iskonto ve vadeye kalan süreye göre hesaplanır ve geçerli standartlar kapsamında muhasebe ve vergi amaçlı olarak varsayılmalıdır.
English Definition
A promissory note that does not carry a stated interest rate, with the lender's return instead embedded in the difference between the note's face value and its discounted purchase price. Non-interest-bearing notes are issued at a discount to par and redeemed at face value at maturity. The implied interest rate is calculated based on this discount and the time to maturity, and must be imputed for accounting and tax purposes under applicable standards.
