English Definition
A written or electronic communication from an account holder to a bank or financial institution requesting the removal of funds from a deposit account, either immediately or after the expiration of a required notice period. In the context of notice and term deposits, the notice of withdrawal triggers the countdown of the contractual notice period and fixes the date on which funds will be made available. The notice also serves as an instruction to the bank regarding the method and destination of fund transfer.
