Bir malın taşınması, depolanması ya da elleçlenmesi sırasında doğabilecek hasar ya da kaybın, taşıyıcı veya saklayan değil, malın sahibi tarafından üstlenildiğini belirten koşuldur. Bu kayıt sorumluluğu taşıyıcıdan malike kaydırdığından, sigorta yükünün hangi tarafta olduğunu doğrudan tayin eder; malikin rizikosuyla taşınan bir yükte hasar halinde başvurulacak tek koruma çoğu zaman malın kendi sigortasıdır. English Definition
A condition specifying that any damage or loss arising during the carriage, storage or handling of goods is borne by the owner rather than the carrier or bailee. Because this stipulation shifts liability from carrier to owner, it directly determines which party bears the insurance burden, since for goods carried at owner's risk the only protection in the event of damage is often the owner's own cover. Shipping project equipment on these terms raises the need for a separate transit-insurance requirement, so that the asset forming the lender's security is not left uninsured while in transit.
