Proje finansmanında sponsorun birden fazla SPV'ye dağıttığı koşullu garantiler tek tek küçük görünse de, eşzamanlı bir sektör şoku bunları aynı anda tetikleyebilir; bu nedenle olgun kredi verenler sponsorun toplam koşullu maruziyetini ayrı bir tabloda izler ve bunu görünen kaldıraca ekler.
English Definition
The possibility that commitments, guarantees and contingent obligations not directly visible on the balance sheet will unexpectedly materialize and impose losses on the entity. One of the costliest lessons of the 2008 crisis was that such apparently ring-fenced risks can flow back onto the primary balance sheet under stress. In project finance a sponsor's contingent guarantees spread across several SPVs may each look small, yet a simultaneous sector shock can trigger them at once; mature lenders therefore track a sponsor's aggregate contingent exposure in a separate schedule and add it back to visible leverage.
