Proje finansmanında offtaker'ın kredi kalitesi, projenin gelir kesinliğini belirlediği için kredi verenlerin borç boyutlandırmasının çıpasıdır; bir PPA ya da alım sözleşmesinin arkasındaki alıcının rating'i, çoğu zaman projenin kendi teknik risklerinden daha belirleyicidir. English Definition
The counterparty that commits to purchase a project's output — electricity, capacity, hydrogen, processed product, or feedstock — under a predetermined contract. In project finance the offtaker's credit quality is the anchor of the lenders' debt sizing, because it determines the certainty of the project's revenue, and the rating of the buyer behind a PPA or purchase agreement is frequently more decisive than the project's own technical risks. Indeed the predictability of debt service depends less on operational performance than on the contract provisions governing the conditions under which the offtaker may suspend its commitment.
