Proje finansmanında bir birimin devreye girmesi tek bir tarih değil, çoğu kez tam kapasiteye ulaşana dek süren bir rampa (ramp-up) dönemidir; bu dönemde üretim tasarım kapasitesinin altında seyredebildiği için ilk borç servis dönemleri nakit akışı açısından en kırılgan aralıktır. Kredi verenler bu kırılganlığı, devreye girişten sonraki ilk yıllar için daha yüksek bir borç servis rezervi ya da nakit süpürme mekanizması talep ederek karşılar.
English Definition
An operational expression denoting the state in which a production facility actually begins generating output — that is, comes into flow — common in oil, chemical, and energy plants where the process is continuous. In project finance a unit coming on stream is often not a single date but a ramp-up period lasting until full capacity is reached, and because output can run below design capacity the first debt service intervals are the most fragile in cash flow terms. Lenders address this by requiring a higher debt service reserve or a cash sweep mechanism for the early years after coming on stream.
