English Definition
A one-stop inspection consolidates the various inspection and compliance checks relating to a facility or process into a single coordinated exercise conducted by one authority or team, aiming to reduce duplicate visits and overlapping requirements. In capital-intensive projects the value lies in coordinating the separate site visits of the lender's technical advisor, environmental auditor and insurance surveyor; inspections that are not run concurrently tend to generate delays that accumulate quietly in the construction schedule and can seep into the critical path.
