Bir menkul kıymetin, seansın açılışında oluşan ilk işlem fiyatıdır; çoğu borsada bu fiyat sürekli müzayede öncesi toplanan alım-satım emirlerinin tek fiyatlı açılış eşleştirmesiyle (opening auction) belirlenir. Gecelik biriken haber ve emir akışını tek bir seviyede özetlediği için, önceki kapanışla arasındaki fark (gap) piyasanın gece boyunca yeniden fiyatlama yönünü gösterir. English Definition
The first transaction price of a security at the opening of a session; on most exchanges it is set by a single-price opening auction that gathers buy and sell orders accumulated before continuous trading. Because it condenses the overnight flow of news and orders into one level, the gap to the prior close signals the direction in which the market has repriced overnight. On the first trading day of a project company financed by public offering, an opening price materially below or above the issue price is the first public read on the underwriter's pricing discipline and the true depth of the order book — a signal that directly bears on the sponsor's leverage in later capital raises.
