Bir opsiyon sözleşmesinde hakkı elinde bulunduran, yani opsiyonu kendisine tanınan taraftır; karşısında opsiyonu veren taraf durur. Opsiyon sahibi, dayanak varlığı önceden belirlenmiş koşullarla alma ya da satma hakkına sahiptir ancak bunu kullanma yükümlülüğü taşımaz, dolayısıyla asimetrik bir pozisyondadır. Proje geliştirmede arazi ya da proje opsiyonunu elinde tutan taraf çoğu kez opsiyon sahibi konumundadır; opsiyon primini ödeyerek, izin ve bağlantı süreçleri netleşene kadar sermayesini bağlamadan projeyi kontrol altında tutar.
English Definition
The party that holds the right under an option contract, that is, the one to whom the option is granted, standing opposite the grantor. The optionee is entitled but not obliged to buy or sell the underlying on preset terms, which places it in an asymmetric position that pays only a premium for the privilege. In project development the party holding a land or project option is typically the optionee, controlling the site while permitting and interconnection resolve, without committing full capital until the option is exercised.
