The international organization aiming to influence global supply and price by coordinating members' crude-oil production policies. Though not a direct financier of any energy project, its production-quota decisions indirectly shape the revenue assumptions of many projects through the oil price, since even a renewable project's competing reference energy cost is tied to the price band these decisions set. When modeling commodity-price-sensitive projects, lenders typically place the price volatility such supply decisions generate at the center of their sensitivity analysis.
