Proje finansmanında ekipman ve modül ithal eden bir projede, ihracat konşimentosunun düzenlenme ve ciro zinciri, tedarik ödemelerinin serbest bırakılma koşulunu oluşturur; belgedeki bir uyumsuzluk (discrepancy), akreditif altında ödemeyi askıya alarak teslimat takvimini ve dolayısıyla inşaat programını doğrudan geciktirebilir.
English Definition
A document of title issued for goods shipped from a port to a foreign destination, evidencing ownership and the terms of carriage. Because its negotiable character makes it serve as both the contract of carriage and the instrument representing the right to dispose of the goods, it lets a bank control the cargo as security in letter-of-credit settlements. In project finance, for a project importing equipment and modules, the endorsement chain of the outward bill of lading forms the condition for releasing supply payments; a discrepancy in the document can suspend payment under the letter of credit, directly delaying the delivery schedule and therefore the construction programme.
