Döviz geliri ürettiği için ödemeler dengesine olumlu katkı sağlar; ancak gelirin para birimi ile maliyetin para birimi arasındaki uyumsuzluk, ihracatçının taşıdığı asıl kur riskini oluşturur. Proje finansmanında ihracata dayalı gelir modeli, kredi verenlere döviz bazlı borç servisi için doğal bir hedge sunar; nitekim finansörler döviz geliri üreten off-take sözleşmelerini, borç para birimiyle eşleşmeleri hâlinde kur riskini azalttığı için pozitif bir yapısal unsur olarak değerlendirir ve genellikle bu geliri bir offshore tahsilat hesabına yönlendirir.
English Definition
The sale of goods and services from a country abroad, denoting the export direction of foreign trade. Because it generates foreign-currency revenue it contributes positively to the balance of payments; yet the mismatch between the currency of that revenue and the currency of costs constitutes the exporter's principal exchange-rate exposure. In project finance an export-based revenue model offers lenders a natural hedge for hard-currency debt service; financiers accordingly treat off-take contracts producing foreign-currency revenue as a positive structural feature where they match the debt currency, and typically route that revenue through an offshore collection account so the hedge is captured rather than left to the borrower's discretion.
