Yatırımcı talebinin, ihraç edilen menkul kıymet miktarını aştığı tahvil ya da hisse senedi ihracıdır; talep arzı geçtiği için tahsisat oranlaması (allocation) yapılır ve fiyatın alt banttan yukarı çekilmesine imkân doğar. Bir projenin ilk defa piyasaya çıkardığı proje tahvilinin talebi aşması, ihraççıya sonraki serilerde daha dar bir kredi marjıyla borçlanma penceresi açar; ancak deneyimli ihraç danışmanı, sıcak talebi fiyatı sonuna kadar sıkıştırmak yerine ikincil piyasada sağlıklı bir performans bırakacak biçimde dengeler, zira ilk serinin performansı sonraki erişimin gerçek maliyetini belirler.
English Definition
A bond or equity issue in which investor demand exceeds the quantity offered; because demand outstrips supply, allocation is rationed and the price can be pulled up from the lower end of the range. When a project's debut bond is oversubscribed, it opens a window for the issuer to borrow at a tighter credit spread on subsequent series; yet an experienced issue adviser balances hot demand rather than squeezing the price to the limit, leaving a healthy aftermarket, since the debut series' performance sets the true cost of future access.
