English Definition
A simple document completed when depositing cash or cheques at a bank, carrying the account number, amount, and depositor details, and forming the basis and reconciliation trail of the deposit. Seemingly a trivial formality, matching it to the correct account and reference is the first link in payment reconciliation. In the multi-account structures of project companies, an error in the slip's reference or a wrong account selection can land funds in a free account instead of the revenue account, disrupting the discipline of the payment waterfall and forcing needless reconciliation corrections.
