Bir tarafın ifasının ya da bir varlığın çıktısının yeterli sayılması için karşılaması gereken, önceden tanımlanmış ve çoğunlukla ölçülebilir koşullar bütünüdür. Bu kriterler bir eşiği geçme veya geçmeme kararını nesnelleştirerek ihtilafı azaltır. Proje finansmanında performans kriterleri sözleşmesel tetiklerin temelini oluşturur; EPC sözleşmesindeki performans testinin kabul kriterleri — garantili net çıktı, ısıl verim, emisyon sınırları — hem yüklenicinin gecikme ve performans tazminatını hem de projenin devreye alınmasını belirler. English Definition
A set of predefined and usually measurable conditions that a party's performance or an asset's output must meet to be deemed adequate. These criteria objectify the pass/fail decision over a threshold and reduce dispute. In project financing performance criteria form the basis of contractual triggers; the acceptance criteria of the performance test in an EPC contract — guaranteed net output, heat rate, emission limits — determine both the contractor's delay and performance remedies and the commissioning of the project. In IMF and DFI lending programmes performance criteria carries a technical meaning; the release of these institutions' tranches is conditioned on the borrowing country or project meeting defined quantitative performance criteria, and a missed criterion triggers suspension of the tranche.
