Rehin veren, borçlunun kendisi olabileceği gibi, borçlu lehine teminat sağlayan üçüncü bir kişi de olabilir. English Definition
The party that creates a pledge in favour of a creditor over an asset it owns, as security for a debt; functionally the same as the pledgor. The pledge giver may be the debtor itself or a third party providing security for the debtor's benefit. In project financing the distinction between whether the project company or the sponsor gives the pledge matters; a third-party pledge can keep the collateral out of the debtor's insolvency estate, but in most jurisdictions this structure is more fragile against claims of fraudulent conveyance.
