Proje finansmanında, gelirin doğrudan son kullanıcıdan toplandığı yapılarda satış noktası tahsilatlarının bir kilitli hesaba (lockbox ya da escrow) yönlendirilmesi sıkça şart koşulur; bu mekanizma, nakdin proje şirketinin serbest tasarrufuna geçmeden önce borç servisini ayırdığı için kredi verenlerin en güçlü nakit kontrol araçlarından biridir.
English Definition
The place or system at which the sale of a good or service is actually completed and payment is taken; in modern usage it covers both the physical checkout and the payment-processing terminal. Point-of-sale data forms the real-time basis of revenue accounting and inventory management. In project financing, in structures where revenue is collected directly from the end user, it is frequently required that point-of-sale receipts be routed into a locked account, a lockbox or escrow; because this mechanism sets aside debt service before the cash passes into the project company's free disposal, it is among lenders' strongest instruments of cash control.
