Sigorta teminatının yürürlükte olduğu, poliçede başlangıç ve bitiş tarihleriyle sabitlenen zaman aralığıdır; yalnızca bu pencere içinde ortaya çıkan hasarlar teminat kapsamına girer. Proje finansmanında kredi verenler, inşaat all-risk teminatının poliçe döneminin ticari işletmeye alma tarihini ve ötesindeki bir kuyruk süresini kapsamasını şart koşar, zira gecikmeli devreye alma teminatsız bir boşluk yaratabilir. Poliçe döneminin proje takvimiyle örtüşmemesi, çoğu zaman fark edilmeyen ama finansal kapanışta ilk sorgulanan risklerden biridir.
English Definition
The span, fixed by inception and expiry dates in the contract, during which cover is in force, so that only losses arising within that window attract indemnity. In project financings lenders insist that construction all-risks cover extend through the commercial operation date and a defined tail beyond it, because a delayed start-up can otherwise open an uninsured gap. A mismatch between the policy period and the project schedule is among the first exposures a lender's insurance adviser probes at financial close.
