Akreditif uygulamasında ilk ibrazın önemi büyüktür, zira belgelerdeki tutarsızlıklar (discrepancy) çoğu kez bu aşamada ortaya çıkar ve bankaya belgeleri inceleme için tanınan beş iş günlük süre boyunca ödeme askıya alınır; bu gecikme, ihracatçının nakit dönüşünü ve dolayısıyla işletme sermayesi maliyetini doğrudan etkiler.
English Definition
In trade finance, the act of delivering documents to a bank to claim payment under a letter of credit; in a more general sense, the manner in which financial information is arranged and disclosed. In documentary credit practice the first presentation carries weight, since discrepancies most often surface at this stage and payment is suspended through the examination window the bank is allowed to inspect the documents, a delay that bears directly on the exporter's cash conversion and thus on its cost of working capital.
