Belirli bir anda piyasada geçerli olan güncel döviz kurudur; sözleşmeler tipik olarak hangi geçerli kurun — spot, merkez bankası sabitleme ya da bir referans ekran kuru — esas alınacağını ayrıca belirtir. Yerel para cinsinden gelir üreten ancak sert para borç servis eden bir projede, dönüşümde kullanılacak kur kaynağının seçimi maddidir: farklı sabitleme kaynakları arasındaki sapma, borç servis oranını ve dolayısıyla covenant başarımını doğrudan etkiler, bu yüzden kur tanımı sözleşmede müzakere edilen bir kalemdir.
English Definition
The current exchange rate prevailing in the market at a given moment; contracts typically specify which prevailing rate — spot, central bank fixing or a reference screen rate — is to apply for conversion. In a project that earns revenue in local currency but services debt in hard currency, the choice of the rate source used for conversion is material: the divergence between different fixing sources bears directly on the debt service ratio and hence on covenant performance, which is why the definition of the rate is itself a negotiated term rather than a technicality.
