Proje geliştirmede bu eşik çoğu zaman mutlak bir rakam değil, projenin IRR hedefine göre görecelidir; bir şebeke bağlantısı yükseltmesi ya da uzak bir sahanın lojistik masrafı, LCOE'yi rakip projelerin üstüne çıkardığında engelleyici hâle gelir. English Definition
A cost so high that it renders an activity, investment, or transaction economically indefensible, such that expected benefit cannot cover it and the option is effectively eliminated. In project development this threshold is often relative to the project's IRR target rather than an absolute figure; a grid-connection upgrade or the logistics cost of a remote site becomes prohibitive once it pushes LCOE above that of competing projects. Experienced developers often miss it during early screening, because it typically becomes visible only after detailed engineering, by which point sunk cost has already accumulated.
