A dedicated credit envelope structured to finance a specific project, whose drawdown conditions and repayment profile are shaped around that project's cash flow rather than the borrower's general balance sheet. Unlike general-purpose corporate debt, advances are tied to construction progress and satisfaction of conditions precedent, with the availability period matched to the project timetable. In practice the real negotiation sits on the commitment fee and the carry on undrawn amounts, because as construction slippage lengthens, the fee accruing on the unused facility quietly erodes the sponsor's return.
