Bir bedelin, getirinin ya da paranın fiyatının belirli bir referansa göre ifade edilmesidir; proje finansmanında en sık faiz oranı, iskonto oranı ya da döviz kuru biçiminde karşımıza çıkar. Kredi sözleşmelerinde oran çoğu zaman bir gösterge (SOFR gibi) artı marj olarak kurgulanır, dolayısıyla borçlunun taşıdığı asıl risk sabit sayı değil, göstergenin vade boyunca oynaklığıdır. Bu nedenle oranın kendisi kadar, hangi referansa ve hangi yeniden fiyatlama periyoduna bağlandığı da nakit akış modelinin duyarlılığını belirler.
English Definition
A rate expresses the price of money, a return, or a charge relative to a defined reference, appearing in project finance most often as an interest rate, a discount rate, or an exchange rate. In loan agreements the rate is typically constructed as a benchmark, such as SOFR, plus a margin, so the borrower's true exposure lies not in the fixed number but in the volatility of the benchmark across the tenor. What the rate is pegged to, and how frequently it reprices, therefore shapes the sensitivity of the cash-flow model as much as its headline level.
