English Definition
The re-recording of a security, company, or property in the relevant register following a change of ownership or status. In project finance re-registration is often tied to the creation or transfer of security; pledging the project company's shares in favor of the lender, or transferring an asset to the special-purpose vehicle, requires the register to be updated. In some jurisdictions the length and unpredictability of the registration process create a critical gap between financial closing and the actual perfection of security.
