The administrative process through which re-registration is actually carried out, encompassing application, examination, payment of fees, and updating of the register. In project finance the duration of this process carries direct risk, since it determines the moment at which security is legally perfected, and the lender may be unprotected in the intervening period. The experienced adviser bridges this gap with a valid power of attorney or an interim security arrangement until the process concludes, and jurisdiction-specific registration delays can constitute the hidden critical path of the closing timetable.
