Varlıkların satışından ya da nakde çevrilmesinden elde edilen fiili hasılatı; fon bağlamında ise yatırımların çıkışından (exit) yatırımcıya yapılan dağıtımları ifade eder. Özel sermaye fonlarında gerçekleşmeler, kağıt üzerindeki değerlemeyi (TVPI) nakit dönüşüne (DPI) çeviren asıl kanıttır; J-eğrisinin geç döneminde bu dağıtımlar hızlanır ve yönetici performans ücretini (carry) çoğunlukla ancak gerçekleşme anında kristalize eder. Bu nedenle yatırım komitesi, ilan edilen defter getirilerine değil, gerçekleşmiş dağıtımların yatırılan sermayeye oranına bakarak fonun fiili nakit üretme kapasitesini ölçer.
English Definition
The actual proceeds obtained from selling or converting assets to cash; in a fund context, the distributions made to investors from the exit of investments. In private-equity funds, realisations are the true evidence that turns paper valuation (TVPI) into cash returned (DPI); in the later stretch of the J-curve these distributions accelerate, and the manager typically crystallises its carry only upon realisation. The investment committee therefore gauges a fund's genuine cash-generating capacity by the ratio of realised distributions to invested capital rather than by the reported book returns, because a book carried aggressively can flatter a fund for years that its realisations quietly fail to confirm.
