Tedarik ve EPC sözleşmelerinde hacme bağlı rebate'ler, sözleşmenin etkin maliyetini kağıttaki birim fiyattan farklılaştırdığı için gerçek maliyet analizinde hesaba katılmalıdır. English Definition
The return or deduction of part of a payment or price upon the occurrence of stated conditions, appearing as a volume discount, an interest refund on early repayment, or a tax rebate. In supply and EPC contracts, volume-linked rebates differentiate the effective cost of the contract from the unit price on its face and must be captured in any true cost analysis. In tax-exempt bond finance — notably in US municipal issues — the arbitrage rebate rule requires the issuer to return to the Treasury the excess yield earned on invested bond proceeds; where that obligation is neglected, the tax-exempt status of the entire issue is placed at risk, which is why the rebate computation is a standing post-closing compliance burden rather than a one-time calculation at issuance.
