İflastan farklı olarak çoğu kez şirketin tümünü değil, belirli teminata konu varlıkları hedef alır ve teminatlı alacaklının inisiyatifiyle başlatılır. Proje finansmanında receivership, kredi sözleşmesindeki temerrüt hükümlerinin fiilî sonucudur; sponsorun yönetim kontrolünü kaybettiği, nakit akış waterfall'unun tepesindeki alacaklının varlığı doğrudan realize etmeye başladığı aşamayı işaretler.
English Definition
A legal condition in which a debtor's assets are placed under the control of an appointed receiver to be managed and realised for the benefit of creditors. Unlike bankruptcy, it frequently targets specific charged assets rather than the whole entity and is typically initiated at the instance of a secured creditor. In project finance, receivership is the practical consequence of the default provisions in the loan agreement, marking the stage at which the sponsor loses management control and the creditor at the top of the cash-flow waterfall begins to realise the asset directly.
