English Definition
The formal process running from the receiver's appointment through the realisation of assets and distribution of proceeds, encompassing the receiver's reporting duties to the court and creditors, objection mechanisms, and the order of distribution. The duration is not merely procedural but the principal factor eroding the true recovery value of collateral, since accruing management fees, preservation costs, and asset depreciation come straight out of the creditor's share. In project lending, this process is where the recovery-timing assumptions embedded in the risk model are actually tested.
