Kullanılmış ya da yıpranmış bir varlığın, onarım, parça değişimi ve yenileme yoluyla yeniden kullanılabilir ve satılabilir duruma getirilmesidir; tam yenilemeden az, basit bakımdan fazla bir müdahaledir. Bir varlığın reconditioning maliyeti ile ikame maliyeti arasındaki fark, elde tutma ya da değiştirme kararının ekonomik özünü oluşturur. Proje finansmanında büyük ekipmanın periyodik yenileme giderleri, tesisin faydalı ömrü boyunca DSCR'yi koruyan bakım rezervi hesabının (maintenance reserve) boyutlandırılmasında doğrudan hesaba katılması gereken bir kalemdir.
English Definition
The bringing of a used or worn asset back to a usable and saleable condition through repair, part replacement, and refurbishment — an intervention short of full renewal but more than routine maintenance. The gap between an asset's reconditioning cost and its replacement cost forms the economic essence of the keep-or-replace decision. In project finance, the periodic refurbishment expenditure on major equipment is an item that must be factored directly into the sizing of the maintenance reserve account that protects DSCR across the plant's useful life.
