Bir kurumun faaliyetlerini yürürlükteki tüm kanun, düzenleme ve otorite gerekliliklerine uygun biçimde sürdürmesi, bu uyumun belgelenmesi ve sürekli izlenmesidir. Proje finansmanında uyum yalnızca bir yasal zorunluluk değil, aynı zamanda bir kredi koşuludur; kredi sözleşmeleri genellikle sürekli mevzuat uyumunu bir taahhüt (covenant) olarak yazar ve ihlali temerrüt olayına dönüştürür. Uyum maliyetinin en çok hafife alınan kalemi, çevresel ve iş güvenliği izinlerinin operasyon dönemi boyunca yenilenmesi ve raporlanması yükümlülüğüdür, zira bu yük inşa bittikten sonra da yıllarca devam eder.
English Definition
The conduct of an entity's activities in conformity with all applicable statutes, regulations, and authority requirements, together with the documentation and continuous monitoring of that conformity. In project finance compliance is not merely a legal obligation but a lending condition; loan agreements commonly write continuing regulatory compliance as a covenant and convert its breach into an event of default. The most underestimated line of compliance cost is the obligation to renew and report environmental and occupational-safety permits throughout the operating phase, since that burden persists for years after construction is complete.
