Proje finansmanında yenileme riski çoğu zaman hafife alınan bir yapısal açıktır; bir kira, ruhsat ya da alım sözleşmesinin (PPA) proje borcunun vadesinden önce sona ermesi, gelirin sürekliliğini kesme tehdidi taşır ve kredi verenler bu nedenle temel sözleşmelerin süresinin borç vadesini kapsamasını, aksi halde yenileme koşullarının önceden güvenceye alınmasını şart koşar.
English Definition
The keeping in force of an expiring contract, loan, policy, or permit for a further term on the same or updated conditions. In project finance renewal risk is a structural gap that is frequently underappreciated, for the expiry of a lease, licence, or offtake agreement before the project debt matures threatens to sever the continuity of revenue. Lenders accordingly insist that the tenor of the key contracts extends beyond the debt maturity, or, failing that, that the renewal terms be secured in advance rather than left to the goodwill of a counterparty.
