Proje finansmanında borcun itfası çoğu zaman projenin ürettiği nakit akışına birebir bağlanmış bir amortisman takvimine göre yürür; bu takvim, gelir profiline uydurulmuş 'sculpted' bir yapı taşıdığında, her dönemde belirli bir DSCR'yi korumak üzere kalibre edilir, dolayısıyla itfa hızı sponsorun değil kreditörün risk toleransının bir fonksiyonudur.
English Definition
A borrower's clearing of its existing debt obligations from the balance sheet by repaying or otherwise extinguishing them, achieved through scheduled principal amortization, a lump-sum payment, or refinancing. In project finance the retirement of debt usually follows an amortization schedule tied closely to the cash flow the project generates; where that schedule is sculpted to the revenue profile, it is calibrated to preserve a defined DSCR in each period, so the pace of retirement is a function of the lender's risk tolerance rather than the sponsor's preference.
