Amir banka tarafından, lehtara önceden bildirimde bulunma veya onun onayını alma yükümlülüğü olmaksızın değiştirilebilen ya da iptal edilebilen akreditif türüdür. Bu esneklik, akreditifin asli işlevi olan bağımsız ödeme taahhüdünü zayıflattığından, karşı taraf güvencesi arayan hiçbir satıcı tarafından kabul edilmez. UCP 600 aksi belirtilmedikçe tüm akreditifleri cayılamaz saydığı için bu tür fiilen tarihsel bir kategoriye dönüşmüştür; proje ekipmanı ithalatında standart, cayılamaz ve çoğu zaman teyitli akreditiftir.
English Definition
A letter of credit that the issuing bank can modify or cancel without any obligation to notify or obtain the approval of the beneficiary. Since this flexibility undermines the independent payment undertaking that gives a credit its purpose, no supplier seeking counterparty assurance will accept it. Because UCP 600 treats every credit as irrevocable unless stated otherwise, the revocable form has become effectively a historical category; the standard on project equipment imports is an irrevocable and frequently confirmed credit.
