English Definition
An accounting item capturing the salaries paid to a body's employees and directors together with the bonuses, fees, benefits in kind, and other pecuniary rewards provided on top of them; the emphasis on "emoluments" reaches beyond base pay to director-level benefits. In project finance this line forms the fixed-cost core of the operations and maintenance budget, and lenders may cap the project company's general administrative spend through covenants that protect the share of cash flow earmarked for debt service.
