Tek bir ürün türünde hacim büyütmek yerine, birbirini tamamlayan farklı kalemleri aynı tedarikçiden ya da aynı çerçeve sözleşme altında toplu edinerek çeşitlilik ekonomisinden (economies of scope) yararlanma uygulamasıdır. Ölçekli alım birim maliyeti hacimle düşürürken, kapsam alımı ortak lojistik, tek muhatap ve azalan sözleşme yönetim yükü üzerinden tasarruf yaratır. Proje tedarikinde bu yaklaşım, farklı ekipman paketlerini tek bir yükleniciye bağlamanın arayüz riskini azaltmasıyla cazip hale gelir; ancak aynı yoğunlaşma, tedarikçi temerrüdü halinde tüm paketin aynı anda risk altına girmesi pahasına gelir.
English Definition
The practice of drawing on economies of scope by procuring complementary items together from a single supplier or under a single framework agreement, rather than building volume in one product. Where scale buying lowers unit cost through volume, scope buying generates savings through shared logistics, a single counterparty, and a reduced contract-management burden. In project procurement this approach becomes attractive because bundling equipment packages with one contractor lowers interface risk; that same concentration, however, comes at the cost of placing the entire package at risk simultaneously if the supplier defaults.
