Bu paragraf, denetçinin görüşünün hangi zeminde verildiğini belirlediği için raporun okunmasında görüş paragrafı kadar önemlidir; kapsamın daraltıldığı ya da bir sınırlamanın kaydedildiği durumlar, finansal tablolara duyulan güveni doğrudan etkiler. English Definition
The section of an independent audit report that defines what the audit covered, the standards under which it was conducted, and the limits of the auditor's responsibility. Because it establishes the ground on which the auditor's opinion rests, this paragraph is as important in reading the report as the opinion paragraph itself; instances where scope was narrowed or a limitation recorded bear directly on the reliance placed on the financial statements. In project finance, lenders and investment committees reading an audit report scan the scope paragraph — particularly any reference to a scope limitation — before the opinion itself.
