Bu yoğunlaşma, sektöre özgü döngüler ve düzenleyici şoklar karşısında getirinin oynaklığını artırır. Altyapı ve proje odaklı sektör fonlarında asıl mesele varlık likiditesidir: uzun vadeli, devri güç proje varlıklarına yatırım yapan bir fonun kapalı-uçlu (closed-end) yapısı çoğu zaman zorunludur, zira açık-uçlu bir yapıda yatırımcı geri alım talepleri, satılması güç varlıklarla vade uyumsuzluğu üretir.
English Definition
An investment fund that concentrates its portfolio in a single economic sector, such as energy, infrastructure, healthcare or technology, offering sectoral depth and directional positioning rather than diversification. This concentration raises the volatility of returns in the face of sector-specific cycles and regulatory shocks. In infrastructure- and project-focused sector funds the real issue is asset liquidity: a closed-end structure is often mandatory for a fund investing in long-dated, hard-to-transfer project assets, since in an open-end structure investor redemption requests create a maturity mismatch with assets that are difficult to sell.
