Bir projenin fizibilite ve mühendislik değerlendirmesi sonucunda benimsediği; üretim süreci, ekipman ve teknik konfigürasyonu belirleyen çözümdür. Proje finansmanında seçilen teknolojinin en kritik özelliği maliyet değil, kanıtlanmışlık derecesidir; kredi verenler ticari ölçekte referans çalışma süresi (track record) olmayan teknolojiyi finanse etmekte isteksizdir, zira performans riski borç servisini doğrudan tehdit eder. Bu nedenle henüz olgunlaşmamış teknolojiler tipik olarak daha yüksek özkaynak katkısı, tamamlanma garantisi ve teknoloji sağlayıcısının verdiği performans taahhütleriyle finanse edilebilir hale gelir.
English Definition
The solution a project adopts after feasibility and engineering review, defining its production process, equipment and technical configuration. In project finance the decisive attribute of the selected technology is not cost but its degree of proven performance; lenders are reluctant to finance technology lacking a commercial-scale operating track record, since performance risk bears directly on debt service. Consequently, less mature technologies typically become financeable only against a higher equity contribution, a completion guarantee and performance warranties from the technology supplier, often reinforced by a liquidated-damages regime.
