Proje finansmanında yarı mamul stoku çoğu zaman bir işletme sermayesi kredisinin teminatını oluşturur; ancak niteliği gereği likiditesi düşük ve değeri üretim zincirinin devamına bağımlı olduğundan, kredi verenler bu tür stoka nihai ürüne kıyasla belirgin biçimde daha yüksek bir teminat iskontosu (haircut) uygular.
English Definition
Goods that lie between raw material and finished product, having passed through a stage of production but not yet ready for final use, awaiting processing as an input into a further production process. In industrial projects the stock level of this category directly drives the working-capital requirement and shows at which point in the production cycle cash becomes tied up. In project finance semi-manufactured inventory often forms the collateral of a working-capital facility; but because it is inherently less liquid and its value depends on the continuation of the production chain, lenders apply a markedly higher collateral haircut to such stock than to finished goods.
