Bir kişinin ya da kuruluşun bir şirketin sermayesinde sahip olduğu pay tutarını ve bunun toplam sermayeye oranını ifade eder; bu oran, oy gücünü, kâr payı hakkını ve çoğu zaman yönetim kurulu temsili eşiklerini belirler. Proje finansmanında bir sponsorun pay sahipliği yalnızca ekonomik büyüklük değil, kontrol eşikleri açısından da okunur; nitekim yüzde ellinin üzerindeki pay muhasebe konsolidasyonunu tetiklerken, belirli azınlık eşikleri, örneğin engelleme azınlığı, sponsora rezerve edilmiş kararlarda veto gücü verir ve bu eşikler finansman görüşmelerinde ham sermaye oranından daha belirleyici olabilir.
English Definition
The amount of shares a person or institution holds in a company's capital and its ratio to total capital, a ratio that governs voting power, dividend entitlement and often the thresholds for board representation. In project finance a sponsor's shareholding is read not only for economic size but for control thresholds; control above fifty percent triggers accounting consolidation, while certain minority thresholds, such as a blocking minority, grant veto power over reserved matters, and these thresholds can weigh more heavily in financing negotiations than the raw equity percentage.
