Bir banka hesabı açılırken, hesap üzerinde işlem yapmaya yetkili kişilerin örnek imzalarının kaydedildiği ve bankanın sonraki talimatları doğrularken referans aldığı belgedir. Görece rutin görünse de imza kartı, bankanın imza doğrulama yükümlülüğünün hukuki dayanağını oluşturur; proje finansmanında ise blokeli proje hesapları, escrow ve rezerv hesaplarında yetkili imza yapısının kart üzerinde doğru yansıtılması, alacaklının hesap kontrolünü fiilen kime bıraktığını belirleyen ve kötüye kullanım riskini sınırlayan operasyonel bir kontroldür.
English Definition
The document, completed when a bank account is opened, that records the specimen signatures of those authorized to operate the account and against which the bank checks subsequent instructions. Routine as it looks, the signature card is the legal basis of the bank's duty to verify signatures; in project finance, correctly reflecting the authorized-signatory structure on the card for blocked project, escrow and reserve accounts is an operational control that determines to whom the lender in effect entrusts account control and that limits the risk of misuse.
