Bir menkul kıymetin organize borsada, arz ve talebin buluştuğu son işlemde oluşan ve resmî olarak tescil edilen fiyatıdır. Bu fiyat yalnızca ikincil piyasa değerlemesini değil, aynı zamanda listeli bir sponsorun özkaynak katkısını fonlarken kullanacağı para biriminin gücünü de belirler; hisse fiyatı düştüğünde bir bedelli sermaye artırımı aynı nakdi toplamak için daha fazla pay ihracı, dolayısıyla daha ağır seyrelme gerektirir. Kredi verenler bu nedenle, sponsorun özkaynak yükümlülüğünü piyasa fiyatına bağlı bir mekanizma yerine peşin taahhüt olarak sabitlemeyi tercih eder.
English Definition
The officially recorded price of a security formed in its most recent trade on an organized exchange, where bid and offer meet. This price governs not only secondary-market valuation but also the strength of the currency a listed sponsor uses to fund equity contributions; when the share price falls, a rights issue requires more shares, and heavier dilution, to raise the same cash. Lenders accordingly prefer to fix a sponsor's equity obligation as an upfront commitment rather than a mechanism tethered to a fluctuating market price.
