Gerçek bir alım niyeti taşımayan, yalnızca fiyatı yukarı çekmek ya da rekabet görüntüsü yaratmak için verilen sahte tekliftir. İhale ve icra/haciz satışlarında, genellikle satıcıyla ya da başka bir teklif verenle gizli anlaşma içindeki bir tarafça kullanılır ve tespit edildiğinde satışın iptaline yol açabilir. Varlık satış süreçlerinde danışıklı teklifin varlığı, açık artırmanın tesis ettiği fiyat keşfi mekanizmasını bozar; nitekim disiplinli bir süreç, teklif verenlerin finansman kanıtı sunmasını şart koşarak bu riski daha baştan törpüler.
English Definition
A sham bid carrying no genuine intent to buy, entered solely to push the price up or to create the appearance of competition. In auctions and foreclosure sales it is typically deployed by a party in covert agreement with the seller or another bidder, and can void the sale where it is detected. In asset-sale processes the presence of a straw bid corrupts the price discovery the auction is meant to establish, which is why a disciplined process blunts the risk at the outset by requiring bidders to evidence their financing.
