English Definition
A balance-sheet item showing subscribed capital that has been formally called from shareholders but whose payment is not yet due. This amount is no longer a contingent cushion: the call has fixed it as a receivable, though the timing of its cash flow is deferred. For an analyst assessing the capital structure, the item is an early signal of how much of the subscribed capital has actually been mobilized, and the size of the called-but-not-yet-due balance says something about the institution's near-term liquidity need that the paid-in figure alone cannot.
